Wandelbilder

These literary images in motion  try to represent the creative process itself and are frequently used in many literary texts. This kind of fluid, blurred, dynamic, changing images enable the written word to get over the usual coordinates of time and space, activating a new form of perception based on timelessness, the manifold, fluctuating lines and forms that transform the image in pure energy, pure poetic “essence” (Zeki 1999). It is the representation of the pure creative process, of the archetypical essence of imagination, that become form in those «Phantasieerzeugungen», fantasy products, described by Nietzsche (1978). The definition of these poetological images as figurations of the imagination process in its pre-categorical step, allows to make the invisible visible and to show some features of the complex relation between work of art and brain.
