ENID Teach – NOOC Collaborative and Research Methodology

The NewHums Research Centre kindly invites everyone to join the NOOC Collaborative and Research Methodology. 


What is this NOOC

This course (NOOC) is part of the training proposal by the project Erasmus+, “European network in D-flexible teaching (ENID-Teach)”, PROJECT NUMBER – 2021-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000027551, KA220-HED – Cooperation partnerships in higher education, coordinated by UNED – Spain. The main goal of the project is to provide digital training to university lecturers about specific teaching and research methodologies, which can be used and improved introducing digital tools and environments.

This course, produced by University of Catania, introduces participants to the Collaborative and Research Methodology and how digital tools can improve the teaching practice. The course will present the theory of collaborative teaching and research as based on three main theoretical pillars: constructivism, distributed cognition and computer supported collaborative learning. It will also introduce some digital tools to be used to enrich the teaching practice.

The course is free of charge and is addressed specifically to university lectures.

An active participation in the NOOC is of great importance to us. Every experiences, views and opinions can help us to further improve the course offered here for future iterations. For this reason, we kindly ask all the participants to fill the course satisfaction questionnaire at the end of the course. With this tool we can record your opinion and use it for future implementation.


Some suggestions and reminders:

  • The course is available in English or Italian and you can select your preferred language in the top right-hand corner, hovering the mouse over your profile picture.
  • Each unit has a video in English, but you can activate the subtitles, both in English and Italian, using the little wheel at the bottom right of YouTube.
  • Remember to participate in the forum to share your opinions and experiences and to communicate with the course tutors and other participants. One of the objectives of this NOOC is precisely to facilitate networking among lecturers.
  • Remember to do the activities in each unit, they will allow you to review the topics learnt and synthesise them.
  • In the “Supplementary Materials” section, you will find many texts that will enable you to go deeper into the subject.
